Global Ground at News Impact Academy

Hosted by Emily Goligoski at The Membership Puzzle Project

15 November 2018

Global Ground was selected for the News Impact Academy hosted by the talented Emily Goligoski at The Membership Puzzle Project (MPP). MPP works with de Correspondent and is founded by Jay Rosen, the prominent media thinker and journalism teacher at New York University.

The academy was organised by the European Journalism Center (EJC) from 5 to 6 November in Warsaw, Poland. Around 25 participants from all over Europe shared their biggest challenges and brainstormed about the best ways to serve members.

The training is best summed up in two words: audience first. In the end, all that matters is providing readers with the information they need and want. And then making sure you’re providing valuable information that readers can’t find anywhere else.

Tell us what you want us to report on at info@globalgroundmedia.com! And thanks to all of you that already reached out to us.

Thanks to Emily Goligoski for sharing her knowledge with all of us and Mattia Peretti, Paula Montana Tor and Barbara Kuznik from EJC for organising this inspirational academy. Here are the main takeaways of the training as distilled by Paula.
